Puppy Chow Chex Mix

One of my favorite things about the fall is all of the parties and get-togethers that seem to come with it. There is tailgating, fall festivals, halloween parties-- you name it.

I have the perfect snack for you to take to all of these gatherings: Puppy Chow Chex Mix! It is so yummy, crunchy, sweet, and nutty that you and the other guests will not be able to stay away from the bowl. And another great thing about it is how easy it is to make! You can throw this together in 15 minutes and be party ready. Here is what you will need to make it:

9 cups Chex cereal
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Start by melting together the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in the microwave. Heat for 30 second intervals, stirring in between.
Once the mixture is melted and smooth stir in the vanilla.

Rosie says, "did someone say puppy chow?"

Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal.

Gently stir to coat the cereal with the melted chocolate mixture.
Next, dump in the powdered sugar. I clearly did not sift my powdered sugar, but if you'd like to sift yours go right ahead. It really doesn't make a difference.

Gently stir once more to coat the cereal with the powdered sugar.

And there you have it! The perfect party snack in under 15 minutes. As Ina Garten says, "How easy it that?!"

Thanks for reading my friends! Love y'all!
